Khandi Alexander, born September 4th 1957 in New York City, NY, is an American dancer, choreographer and film/telivision actress.
She attended Queensborough Community College, she also appeared on Broadway and choreographde Whitney Huston's international tours between the years of 1989 and 1992.
Since then she has stuck to television and films, staring as the charater Cathrine Duke on ''NewsRadio'' and the character Jackie Robbins on ''ER'' and she also has starred in the movie ''CB4'' with the famouse Chris Rock and Charlie Murphy.
She is now the well known character Alexx Woods on CBS's drama ''CSI:MIAMI''.

Alexx Woods is the doctor of the lab she's the only one thats alowed to dissect the body and retreive object such as bullets and stuff. She is also the most caring, she always has feelings for the next body that comes in even if that person mudered another person or something.
Shes the only one out of all the main Detectives in the lab that's married, that's not widow (including Haratio) and has kids wich is a pretty big matter since any one of her enimies could; kidnap her children (she has two), keep them hostage or even kill him so to me she is taking a realy big chance with her family.
